   You guessed it．We will "fall back" when our clocks are set backward one hour in observance of daylight saving time．
   This strange practice has an interesting history．In 1784，Benjamin Franklin published a critical essay in a French newspaper suggesting that Parisians could save ＄200 million through "the economy of using sunshine instead of candles"．Therefore ，many people owe the origin of the idea of daylight saving time to our Founding Father's writings．In the United States，the clock-changing practice began just over 100 years ago，in 1918，when Congress decided to control time by passing the Standard Time Act to save energy and create time zones．Back then，coal was our top energy source and ensuring that Americans had more daylight working hours made sense．
   In 2008，the U．S．Department of Energy assessed the effect of observing daylight saving time on national energy consumption．It found that resetting our clocks amounts to a reduction in our total energy consumption of 0.02%．The study also determined that sticking with one time could actually save about 0.5% of electricity per day nationwide．Apart from this，the risk of heart attack increases 10% in the days following springing forward，most likely caused by the interruption of biological rhythms．Studies also indicate we are more likely to get sick，we are less productive，and frankly we are just exhausted directly following the time change．
   It is hard to explain why we still change our clocks．Perhaps it is due to special interests．Congress passed the Energy Act of 2005，which extended the length of daylight saving time an extra week in the fall，in large part due to an effort by candy producers to allow for an additional daylight hour on the night of Halloween for trick -or - treating．
   This May，we sought to end this ancient practice．It would have allowed Texans to vote whether to stay on standard time year-round or daylight saving time year-round．Our proposal passed the House （众议院）133-9．Sadly，once the bill reached the Senate （参议院），it was never referred to a committee．The proposal died in the Senate without even a word spoken about it on the floor．
   I'm moving forward with plans to file the legislation（立法） again in 2021．I urge you to contact your state legislators to move this legislation forward so that this weekend will be one of the last times we have to "fall back．"

   You can't change your energy cycle，but you can make your life fit it better．Habit can help．Dr．Kleitman believes．Maybe you're sleepy in the evening but feel you must stay up late anyway．Counteract your cycle to some extent by habitually staying up later than you want to．If your energy is low in the morning but you have an important job to do early in the day，rise before your usual hour．This won't change your cycle，but you'll get up energy and work better at your low point．
   Get off to a slow start which saves your energy．Get up with a yawn and stretch．Sit on the edge of the bed a minute before putting your feet on the floor．Avoid the troublesome search for clean clothes by laying them out the night before．Whenever possible，do routine work in the afternoon and save tasks requiring more energy for your sharper hours．

   Ozmo is also expected to be much more efficient than its human counterparts.While it presently takes three cleaners 480 hours each to clean windows of a 40-storey glass building，the robot will be able to do it in 80 hours.However，unlike other robots，Ozmo will not replace human workers，and only make their jobs safer by making them supervisors，who will be controlling the operation from the safety of the ground.

"They are also very vulnerable due to their large size and low reproductive rate.Our resultow that future extinctions would be selective against the most functionally unique and specialized shark species，resulting in greater projected losses." They also said the biggest threats to marine megafauna（大型哺乳动物群）are fishing，either through accidentally getting caught up or directly targeted，and climate change.Mitigating these threats could be the best way to protect these species.

   "Since then，almost continuous small explosions have happened along with the growth of Santiaguito，" says Stephanie Grocke，a volcanologist. "There has not been a long period of time since 1922 when Santiaguito was quiet."
   Scientists are trying to figure out what is causing the regular activity at Santiaguito.Grocke adds. "What we know for sure is that magma（岩浆） and gas are steadily rising from deep within the system，allowing the volcano to continuously show signs of life，" Grocke says.
   A possible explanation is that before an explosion，the vent，or opening，at the top of Santiaguito is closed，trapping hot gases and magma below.As the gas builds up，the pressure increases and eventually tears through the tops sealed vent，letting out the gases and sending magma and rocks skyward.Santiaguito eventually runs out of fuel，causing eruptions to stop.The materials that were sent out cover the top，reclosing Santiaguito's vent and starting the process over again.
   The sizes of the eruptions are never the same，Grocke say.Most often，they tend to small，producing mainly ash plumes（火山灰） that can reach a height of nearly 1，640 feet，lava flows that travel about two miles from the top.However，there are some eruptions they are very hazardous.
